We are delighted to finally announce that Nick Verreos is our featured designer this year for  Fashion With A Passion. With many achievements under his belt he is sure to make this year as fashion forward as ever.

Not only an American fashion designer, Verreos is also a fashion commentator, former Project Runway Contestant, and author. After graduating from UCLA studying Political Science and International Relations, Verreos began to pursue fashion design at FIDM in Los Angeles. He then completed the Advanced Fashion Design Program at FIDM in 1993.

After FIDM, Verreos launched his own high end label NIKOLAKI with partner David Paul in 2001. NIKOLAKI dresses have been worn by a number of notable celebrities including singers Beyoncé, Katy Perry, and Carrie Underwood. As well as actresses Eva Longoria and Kathy Griffin.

In 2005, Verreos competed in the second season of Project Runway finishing in fifth place. Verreos returned as an audition judge, guest judge, guest commentator on various seasons and Project Runway spin-offs.

In 2013, Verreos launched a second label, NV Nick Verreos. The collection is sold exclusively through EVINE in the United States.

When Verreos is not designing, he  returns to his fashion roots and serves as a FIDM instructor and spokesperson. He can also be seen teaching on his Youtube channel Fashion School with Nick Verreos.

In 2016, Verreos published his first fashion text with partner David titled A Passion for Fashion: Achieving Your Fashion Dreams One Thread at a Time. New York Times best selling author Tim Gunn wrote the foreword.

We cannot wait to see what he has up his sleeve next!
